2018 Conference Sessions

 April 2, 2018

1:00 PM – Elder Fraud and Exploitation Prevention

You are invited to attend a convening of representatives from public and private agencies and organizations to discuss promising practices in addressing elder financial exploitation.

This invitation-only, closed press convening will include an opportunity for attendees to discuss the enhancement of a regional network designed to fight elder financial exploitation, such as a Multidisciplinary Team or Financial Abuse Specialist Team, in the State of Montana.

Following the release of the report, Fighting Elder Financial Exploitation through Community Networks, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) Office for Older Americans has embarked on an outreach initiative to support states and/or local communities with developing collaborative working relationships to enhance their capacity to prevent and respond to elder financial exploitation. The CFPB will share the report’s key recommendations.
