1 in 5 Montana children live in families who struggle to provide enough food on a regular basis. That is over 22%, or 48,000.

MFEC is excited to share that The Montana Partnership to End Childhood Hunger (MT-PECH) has mini-grants available to support activities that further the goals included in their 10 Step Plan to End Childhood Hunger! Feel free to share the application (link below) with local program contacts who may be able to benefit from a grant of $250-$1000. Applications are currently being accepted by MT-PECH on an ongoing basis, as funds become available. Please note that funds are limited, so just refer key local partners or projects to the grant opportunity.

In addition, because grant funding is available through Montana No Kid Hungry to support Summer Food Service Programs, School Breakfast expansion, and CACFP At-Risk Afterschool Meal Programs, MT-PECH grant applications to support these specific programs will not be considered.

If you have questions, please reach out to MT-PECH’s Co-Chairs:
