2024 Mini Grants Awarded

Through the generosity of our partners, the MFEC awarded two mini grants in 2024 totaling $1,500.00 in support of projects supporting financial literacy initiatives and programs in Montana.

Business Professionals of America, MT (BPA MT)

BPA MT hosts a Fall Leadership Conference in Fairmont Hot Springs for middle school and high school students. Those who attend the 2-day conference hone their leadership and financial literacy skills and participate in a Biz Bowl Financial Literacy and Shark Tank entrepreneurship competitions. Mini grant funds are utilized to help fund scholarships to enable more students to attend the state-wide conference.

The International Rescue Committee – Missoula (IRC)

The IR Missoula’s Financial Capabilities program focuses on increasing financial literacy for refugees, immigrants, and other vulnerable and low-income household populations in Missoula County. The free programming has served more than 7,000 individuals and has significantly increased participants’ savings and increased their credit scores. Mini grant funds will be used to help offset the costs of interpretation services.
